TONSTARTSSBANDHT Andy and Edwin Mathis White are the duo known as Tonstartssbandht. They began in August of 2007 in their hometown of Orlando, Florida. Soon after, Andy and Edwin moved to their new respective homes in Montreal and New York City. In these two cities Tonstartssbandht continued under the restraint of solo writing, recording, and e-mailed collaboration. This method of songwriting and exchange was carried through on their three self-released 2009 albums, An When, Dick Nights, and Maihama. After bringing the split psyche sets on the road, the focus eventually shifted toward a streamlined live instrumentation involving their voices and analog ware. As Tonstartssbandht continued touring, the recording never stopped. Full set live cassettes followed with Nantes, Hanoi, and Christchurch. After moving back to Orlando in early 2016, their home studio album Sorcerer was finally completed and released via Mexican Summer the following year. The duo spent the pandemic writing new material after a touring hiatus and are issuing a new LP in the fall of 2021 alongside a full North American Tour.    PATRICK HOLLAND Montreal-based artist, producer, engineer and remixer Patrick Holland announces his debut album today. Holland has been known in the past for his electronic releases under aliases such as Project Pablo and Jump Source, as well as his production and remix work for artists such as TOPS, Cut Copy, Jacques Greene, Homeshake, and more. Now with his forthcoming record entitled You’re The Boss, Patrick Holland is re-introducing himself and making his first foray into guitar-driven indie pop. Written and recorded in tandem, You’re The Boss finds Holland self-producing, playing almost every instrument on the record, as well as singing and writing his own lyrics for the first time. Though it’s full of firsts, You’re The Boss sounds like the work of an indie artist decades into their career.EX-REVERIEAs the main songwriting project for guitarist and singer Gillian Chadwick, Ex Reverie has existed in many locations and iterations since its inception. Reborn in 2021 in its original hometown of Philadelphia, the new Ex Reverie is Josh Meakim (Sunny Day in Glasgow, Fantastic Imagination), Sean McGuinness (Pissed Jeans), and Jesse Sparhawk (Fern Knight). While continuing to weave threads of psychedelic folk rock and the fantasy landscapes of 70’s prog, this band also digs deeper into the heavy riffs hinted at on The Door into Summer, the 2008 debut full length produced by Greg Weeks and released on Language of Stone/Drag City. The spirit of the follow up full length, Isobel Gowdie, is also part of the brew: recorded during the Glasgow-based years of the band, the broken castles and moss-covered stone can still be heard in the melodies of the new songs. The band is preparing to record a new album this winter. ALL SHOWS AT DOLPHIN TAVERN ARE 21+, NO EXCEPTIONS.

THE BEACHES Named appropriately after the Toronto neighbourhood they all hail and hang in, The Beaches are authentically rock ‘n’ roll. Their ‘70s aesthetic, unapologetic attitude and electrifying sound fit harmoniously in a modern rock context. Comprised of sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller (on lead vocals/bass and guitar, respectively), Eliza Enman-McDaniel (on drums), and Leandra Earl (onkeys and guitar), the band has a natural kismet that shines through on each track and in their live performances. The Beaches have become one of Canada’s top acts with a global reach, placing them in a modern and future context where rock prevails and marking them one of this generation’s most promising young rock groups. Gaining recognition from the world’s most renowned artists, including the likes of Elton John, who has proclaimed: “Love them, love them, love them!”, The Beaches are back and have no plans to slow down.
