The Pamplemousse Party 🍊 is headed back to the Dolphin Tavern 🐬 in South Philly for another night of high quality house music & dance. And we’re pretty stoked to sit back and let our special guest, Rob Paine, handle the night’s soundscapes behind the wheels of steel from open til close. Needing little introduction, Rob’s a Philadelphia nightlife staple, as an event curator of The Shakedown and Goodie parties, producer of his own dub-inspired house music tunes, label owner of the legendary Worship, and a pretty damn good DJ, too
For this edition of Pamplemousse 🍊, Rob Paine will be digging through his record collection for a 5-hour all. night. long. set and revisiting a party series he held for many years all the way back in the 90s – HEAVY. This party came up alongside Mark Farina’s Mushroom Jazz, and kicks off with hip hop and acid jazz and builds up to that thick, organic house sound we love so much at the Pamplemousse Parties. Join us early to hear some of those slower grooves and stay late as the tempo builds and dancefloor really starts movin’ 🐎.
